dino-MITE!!

way back in the days when evesie pups was a jordan, we watched 'jurassic park' because a) it's a great movie; and 2) i taught it in the class for which i ta'd; and finally: it's a great movie. while we watched, that little pups went wild in utero. we then decided that she loved dinos.

in fact, while we were in chicago after christmas, i returned to the hotel room where eve and ted were waiting for me, and ted told me that evesie had just told him that it was a good time for her to be left out in the wild to be raised by animals. if she went now, before she really mastered language, she would be able to return to humankind without too much traumatic readjustment. setting aside the paradox of how a five week old baby who had not yet mastered language could communicate something so complex and future-oriented, it's important to note that eve assured ted that while she didn't want to be raised by birds, she would happily fall in with a dino family. we haven't been able to convince her that 1) dinos are extinct; and b) dinos aren't mammals and therefore don't produce milks; and conclusively: birds, along with crocodiles, are the living descendants of dinos, so really she should reconsider her quick dismissal of all things avian.

the dino-frenzy came to a head when ted found a website selling hoodies fitted with teeth and eyes to look like various monsters. we told janet/nanet about these amazing hoodies, hoping that she could make one for evesie, and boy did she come through! just look at this amazing piece of clothing! i can't wait for it to fit her; in fact, i'll probably keep putting it on her until it fits, and then i'll probably make her wear it after she's outgrown it. the first two pictures are pretty decent captures of ragey pups--an angry and hungry evesie-saurus. the last pictures are when she's full and making eyes at her papa. please note the lovely blue eyes on the dino hood. this is the prettiest dino EVER. THANK YOU, NANET!

I love the raging evesie-saurus, she's quite ferocious! The whole effect is pretty much what I was hoping for. I've had requests for adult sized dino-hoodies so don't worry about her outgrowing it, we can just keep her supplied.
