she's leaving home

eve shocked me last friday during the day's session of tummy time. (note: ask ted what he hates about the phrase 'tummy time.' he's quite eloquent.)

she rolled over. since then, i've been trying to get her to do it again with varied success. this video captures one such attempt. i confess to helping her a little, but it wasn't too much cheating.

she's now one step closer to growing up and heading out the door for college. or perhaps we'll let her leave home earlier if she gets accepted to a magical british boarding school located in the scenic scottish highlands.

I'm exhausted after watching that but rejoice in the victory! Congratulations, Eve! Great coaching, Erin! Good Lord, I can hardly stand it.

Wow, she worked hard for that one. She's growing so quickly. I'm sure there is something new everyday. Happy second month birthday to the Eve - on her way to bigger and harder things.

The 'drool of exertion' - that cracked me up! Way to go, Eve!

i want to point out that e-$'s commentary is almost word for word what i told her during labor. you should all be thankful that i have not posted that video. i am personally thankful that i did not even film the experience, thus making it impossible to indulge the temptation to post it here.
